“The price of aluminium foil has gone up by 100% in the last year.
I don’t hoard it.
I keep it.
I can get by with just one piece of aluminium in the house.
I have a box full of aluminum foil.”
The 32-year-old said she’s been saving her money and getting more exercise than usual.
“I have to buy a few more things to keep up with the stuff,” she said.
“I don’t have the time or the motivation to do it on a daily basis.”
She said she’d like to be able to keep more food in her fridge but the plan is to be content with only one item.
She’s planning to do some research on how to use aluminium foil and other household items to save money and boost her energy.
The Irish Times has contacted the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for comment.
